The Air Force Academy men’s basketball team hasn’t made the NCAA basketball tournament since 2006. The Falcons had their last strong post-season showing in the 2007 NIT tournament when they advanced to the semifinals before falling short of a NIT championship.
In addition to basketball the Air Force Academy competes in a number of NCAA sports. They field teams in traditional sports like football and baseball. There are also a number of less conventional teams at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. There are boxing, fencing, ice hockey, wrestling, and ruby teams.The Air Force Academy athletic teams all have the nickname the Falcons. When the Falcons golf team competes in tournaments the golfers wear the school colors of blue and silver and often carry Air Force Academy golf bags with their school logos on them.
Graduates of the United States Air Force Academy are generally very disciplined and proud of the time they spent in college and serving their country.
